The Hammerheads story

We were born from a satellite club in 2018 originally formed by the York Sharks Wheelchair Basketball Club who unfortunately couldn't manage the two clubs, so the members who really enjoyed wheelchair basketball formed a committee to help us become independent with the support of North Yorkshire Sport and Harrogate High School and so Hammerheads were born.

Since starting we have grown in numbers. We have visited local schools to promote wheelchair basketball as a sport running participation days to show what the club has to offer in our local area.

We now have a dedicated number of volunteers who have active roles within the club and are keen to see us progress.
